You'll want your worshop to have cheap and steady suppy of raw materials and your finished product to fetch a high price. You'll want there to be few workshops of the same type in the world - the AI will over time
The newly created submodule can be shared or edited slightly to make a stand alone troop tree mod. The way that unit data is formatted in the generated module is the same as in any other troop tree mod. To load a troop tree into a different save or import someone else's troop tree, enable the module that got generated in the bannerlord launcher.

There's some more to consider, but some basic rules are: *Have a steady supply of items to supply a workshop. *Don't have competition for the same product. *Maximize profit based on item in / item out prices at a location. *Prosperity good, bandits bad. #3.
I've tried each type of workshop, in the best locations, completely manipulated the market to the extent there is only 1 workshop in the entire world & done what I can to control the stock in the towns. 0 money made. They just stop working. Even if it's the only workshop of that type in the world, everyone suddenly doesn't need that product.
No, I also made good money in other towns. Just make sure that a village which produces wool is attached. Also make sure the town doesn't have a wool weaver, otherwise buy it and set it to produce something else and then change it to a wool weaver. No idea why they don't let you keep what it was originally producing when you buy a workshop .
