22 March 2010 at 11:23AM. Hi. I own a 2.0 Mazda 6 diesel (06 plate). When the DPF system regenerates, any unburned fuel is returned to the sump thus diluting the engine oil and giving potential for all sorts of problems. It is vital to keep checking the oil level to ensure the sump doesn't over fill. IMHO it's a silly system. What Does Code P2463 Mean? OBD II fault code P2463 is a generic code that is defined as “Diesel Particulate Filter Restriction – Soot Accumulation”, and is set on all diesel applications when the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) detects an excessive accumulation of solid particulate matter (diesel soot) in the diesel particulate filter

Hoping someone can help me.. With my first Mazda, it is a Mazda 3 1.6 HDI 2006. I bought my first Mazda 3 and recently found out it has DPF issues ( few days). I did a lot of reading on the internet and found the car is a Focus and i can connect to it 100% with Ford Scan. The problem is when driving the car loses a lot of power and struggles to go.
Turn the steering wheel to full lock at very slow speeds to the right and the left and listen for the sound, a quiet car park is usually the best place to do this. Check for crash repairs that haven't been done correctly. These can lead to body rust and a weakening of the complete structure. Read the article.
