Fenix 6 series at given size will have a fair bit better GPS-tracking battery life (5S per what Garmin says lasts up to 14 hours). This pretty much matters only if you do very long continuous activities like ultramarathons and such. All variants in series 5 have 1.2 inch screen while series 6 has 1.2/1.3/1.4 inch screens depending on watch size.
WTR1976 over 4 years ago. I was wondering do the fenix 5 Plus (47 mm) and fenix 5S Plus (42 mm) both have the same 1.2" screen (240x240 px), or is the screen on the 47 mm model larger? The Fenix 5, 5s and 5x Plus models all come supplied with mapping, and also supports other Garmin and third party (Garmin format) mapping. It is not a touch-screen device, you use the 5 buttons dotted around the side of the watch to select items, move through menus, scroll the map, etc. It is not a replacement for a full GPS, and unfortunately

Newbie here - have only had my Fenix 5s for a few days, and am running software version 6.0 - Garmin Express says I’m up to date. Question about DL the v6.83 Beta - does it have any impact on warranty?.
